Statue with flash, Parque de Malaga

At the weekend I re-shot a statue in the park close to my house with a combination of daylight (early morning shadow) and flash. The Metz flash was mounted on a stand to camera right. The idea is to make a series of figures lit with flash against dark backgrounds.

Forest Scenes, Sippersfeld, Germany

On our return from Uganda (see July 2010 posts 'Trip to Africa') we stopped off in Sippersveld, close to Frankfurt in Germany. The cool and dark forest was quite a contrast to the hot plains of Africa.

Abandoned Brick Factory, El Colorado

The family vaction this summer was spent in 'El Colorado' close to Cadiz. Next to the holiday house there was an abandoned brick factory.

For our summer vacation this year we stayed in a house in 'El Colorado' close to Cadiz and to the beaches of the Costa de la Luz (Coast of Light). Here are a few shots of objects found in the house photographed in strong sun with shadows cast on an outside wall:
