Donkey With Mask
These shots were taken with a 35mm camera unlike most of the photos on this blog that were taken with 6x6 film. The donkey is wearing a fly mask probably to protected an infected eye,
Palm Tree Shadow
This shot was taken just after sun rise in September. The sunlight was almost horizontal and projected the shadow of the tree directly onto the wall.

The AVE comes to Antequera
A new branch of Spain's fantastic high speed train system, the AVE, is on its way to Antequera. Here is a series of shots taken of the excacations works early one Sunday morning.
Our New Home 'La Chacona'
The new darkroom is now up and running and the work for the exhibition 'Dos Calles' is complete. So now I can start with some new work. Here is a PDF of some shots taken around the farm where we live.
Malaga Re-Shoot
Just before the move to Antequera I took a walk through Malaga and made re-shoot of some favorite details. Click here for a PDF of the series.

Dos Calles es una exposición de imágenes de Málaga realizada por los fotógrafos, Philip Magee y Gordon Haslett. Aunque ellos tienen estilos y técnicas diferentes, su tema es el mismo: su fascinación por las calles de la ciudad.

Sliced Up Water Tank
Part of the farm I now live on is served by a gaint water tank. A few days ago this was replaced and the old tank was sliced up in order to transport it away. It remined me of a Richard Serra sculpture. Here are some shots. The photos were taken on a DSLR, rather than on film, as I still in the process of rebuilding my darkroom after the move to Antequera.
Colegio Salesianos, Antequera
Last month my young son, Alex, attended an end of year party given by his nursery. The event was held in a local school called 'Colegio Salesianos'. After the event I took these shots. The photos were taken on a DSLR, rather than on film, as I still in the process of rebuilding my darkroom after the move to Antequera.
Wheat Harvesting at 'La Chacona'
A few weeks ago we moved the family, studio and office to a farm, 'La Chacona', just outside the town of Antequera. Below are a couple of shots taken from my office window. The photos were taken on a DSLR, rather than on film, as I still in the process of rebuilding my darkroom after the move to Antequera.

Haslett Joins The AIA Group
There have been no photos posted on the blog since April due to my move of house and studio from Malaga to Antequera, a small town about 45km north of Malaga. The work on the house is almost complete and so more photos should be coming soon!
The other big news is that I have been invited to join the Andalusian International Artists Group and my first AIA exhibition is already installed.
Details of the exhibition:
Location: Sala de Exposiciones del Museo Etnográfico, Riogordo, Malaga.
Preview: 2nd July, 20:30, opening times: 10:00-14:00 & 19:00–21:00, Friday to Sunday & holidays.
Exhibition continues until 30 July 2011.
Here is a link to a video made by AIA members Juan Cruz & Roger Cummiskey to give you a taste of the show: Riogordo Video
Above, invitation to the exhibition and a rough mobile phone picture of the installation.

Malaga Cathederal, post 2 of 2, March 2011
In March I spent a fantastic day in Malaga Cathederal with the Mamiya C330f. I would like to thank Sr. Alfonso Fernández-Casamayor Palacio, dean of the cathederal, for permission to photograph using a tripod.
